I remember hearing this story on the news but I never really paid attention to it. But with this assignment it made me do some research and dig a little deeper.
Ted Williams a.k.a "The Man with the Golden Voice" came from a, "nice family, and then he went poor poor" said his mother. Watching some of his videos it seems as if he knew that his voice was a very special gift, he says that he even went to school for it. But like a lot of people alcohol and drugs got in the way of his goals. His own mother stated that it destroyed his family.
But it's like he's become an overnight celebrity. He went from being homeless and panhandling on the side of a highway to appearances on The Today Show, The Early Show, Dr. Phil, and CNN. and it's all because of his voice.
After a youtube video received numerous hits he began getting several voice over jobs. But despite the countless job offers he still has to deal with his family that has struggled to support his drug and alcohol abuse. Mr. Williams and his mother hope that this is lifes second chance for him to become a better person, especially a father to his seven children and their children.
